Dr Colin Stewart

MBBS

Overview:

I have enjoyed all aspects of General Practice in Melbourne for over 40 years.

20 years of running my own General Practice with 4 others, then 8 years in Women’s health – the only Male among 7 Doctors – and 14 Years in Family General Practice in Brunswick, Melbourne.

Having mostly overcome my own life’s unexpected difficulties I feel that the experiences that I have gained, both Professional and Personal, may be of value to you.

Current Life:

A “Tree Change” in early 2021 led me to a “Farm” nearby where I am enjoying assisting  My beloved Wife to pursue Her dream of developing a unique Garden and also introducing me to the peace of Country life, and the influence of the Seasons.

I am thrilled to be joining Carn-Brae Clinic to give my long experience to a wonderful group of people with a Holistic approach to Patient Care and Wellbeing.

My Special Professional Interests:

I have particular interests in Mental Health, Ageing, “Work/ Life Balance”, and the unique aspects of the Challenges of Youth, Millenials, Men and Women’s Health and “Mid-life.”

It is a challenging and ever changing world that we live in.

My Personal Interests:

I enjoy “being in the present moment”, meditation and mindfulness. I love music inherently.

I am a fair pianist, a “wanna-be” Drummer, quite bad at karaoke and a poor saxophonist.

We all have the chance to practice and improve our life situation.

By the time I die, I am pretty sure I will be optimal!

I look forward to helping you in every way if we strike a chord.
